Hi, Is it possible to separate the audio and video when recording on mini dv? I've tried googling this, but I can't find the right search terms.

it depends what you mean exactly. DV has 2 digital audio tracks so the audio is recorded 'seperately'.

maybe if you post up exactly what you want to do, what equipment you have and what editing platform you use someone will be able to help.
