Hi,
I have been offered a diamond upgrade from o2. When I went into their site I saw one of their phones the XDA Orbit has Built-in GPS Satellite Navigation Receiver, to use with Sat Nav software. The software provider is ALK Technologies and the software is called "CoPolit".
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of phone or the software?

Yeah go for the new xda orbit phone, make sure you ask them for the gps package as thats extra but well worth it.

Go into an O2 Experience store and play around with the device itself - it's the only true way to know if it's what you're looking for in my opinion.

A XDA is one of these devices that may sound great on paper or on a spec sheet but you have to use.

You will need to buy the software separate as drdre says.

If you dont want to pay the huge irish prices for a software your best bet is ebay as i seen afew new sat nav software cheap last week

afaik copilot 7 is due for release around now.
i'm fairly sure copilot uses navteq but copilot 6 didn't yet have complete ireland coverage.

copilot 7 should have full ireland coverage but just enquire over in the gps forum to be sure.
