Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a two week old Acer laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium on it. I uninstalled Norton Internet Security and installed Avast and the Windows Firewall. Every time I power up the laptop I find that Windows Firewall is disabled. Any idea what might be wrong?

Norton internet security has its own firewall , you cant have two firewalls active , thats it in a nutshell , one firewall at a time !!

As I said in my post I uninstalled Norton first.

Click the start menu, type "services.msc" in the box at the bottom and hit enter.
Make sure the Windows Firewall service is set to automatic startup - Norton may have set it to disabled when it was installed and then never changed it back when it was removed.
