Lack of phones on 3

Anyone else think the lack of new handsets on 3 recently is awful. They haven't added any new phones to three.ie for ages now and I'm due an upgrade :mad:

I reckon they're trying to flush out some inventory before adding new models - hence the free 6233/k610i/6280. Both the k800i and the n73 are no longer listed on the website, altho' there is availability in the limerick store. The guy there told me there were (supposed to be) some new models scheduled for June. Didn't someone mention here that x-series was supposed to be launched in Ireland in June?

Someone quoted a three rep as saying june 25th for the launch date. Anyway as of recently the handsets that would be added to the list (according to the instore info and pricelist) would be the n95, n93i, w950i and a three rep claimed the E65 would be launched to coincide with xseries.

I think ablelocks is correct -three are tryin to "dump stock" that they've bought up before releasing anything else.

X-series is basically what three calls mobile broadband here. X-series silver and gold handsets have the full range of features that was originally advertised as x-series.

I was told new models coming in June..i would guess so as mobile companies tend to try and push out as much old stock as they can before they bring new stuff in.

I just called Three and they confirmed that they are expecting a new range of phones in about 3 weeks.
X-Series will be at least a month though.

sadly unknown to me did u use my upgrade when renewing my contract when they offered me a free 6280, I thought they were just being nice giving me a free phone and it turned out to be my upgrade. 8 months to go...

Didn't they also give you a discount in addition to a free mobile?

Just been on the upgrades section again. No new models. Strike the black w850i off the available list........

On another note, the Austrians got x-series today...... with n95, n73 and e65 compatibility. just us the Italians and the Indonesians left out in the cold then.....

yes actually they have me a 10% lifetime discount on my bills and a free 3pay sim car
must admit that was very decent of them
but im on the old talk and text 200 plan and they wont let me keep that discount if i change phone (because if you buy a new phone you have to go to their new price plans) anyone else had this problem?
if i change price plan ill be paying more

That's pretty lousy of them not giving you a new phone unless you change plans! Is that standard with the other networks, I wonder? I guess you have to weigh up how much you're saving with their discount vs how much you'd be gaining by getting a new phone every time you renew!

yes and because I use it for the business so minus vat and my lifetime discount (which will be lost if i change plan) im getting 100mins and 100 texts for around €19 now
I'm just going to try and buy it in a 3store and hope the guy doesnt notice what plan im on though that probably wont work as he has to find out how much I should be paying

Looks like they're getting the w880 and the nokia 51somethingorother. I'll edit the post when i find out what it is. Launch to be within a few weeks.

there selling off some of the 3 phones in 3g "reduced to clear" €79, so hopefully some new stock SOON!!!
