Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know the process involved in getting the district judge/clerk to sign an appeal form??
Like, if someone went in with their papers before court began, and asked the clerk to get the judge to sign it before he started court, would they do it??

Or would the person have to sit in court all day before the judge would sign it?

And say the case hearing where the person was disqualified etc. in the district court was on May 17th, what day would be the deadline for getting the appeal papers lodged??
Cause they say 2 weeks is the deadline; but does this only count working days or what?

Oh and if someone has been to the appeals office to lodge their appeal, would they get another 2 week time period to bring back the paper-work and finalise the appeal.. or does the 2 week time limit still stand from the original court hearing??

    Thanks a lot

You have 14 days to enter recognizances. The day the order is made is included. You therefore have until 30th May to have recognizances fixed and then entered. . The best thing to do is go to the clerk before the judge arrives at the start of the day. The clerk will probably have it dealt with as soon as the judge comes in. |As soon as the papers are signed get back to the office and lodge them. The law is very inflexible on this. If recognizances are not entered in time the ban stays until the appeal is heard.

Yes ,if you dont get the appeal back to summons office within 14 days, then you have to apply for an extension.

i think u go to the court clerk and ask for an extension of time, u do in writing then turn up on whatever date they give u, and tell the judge you are looking for an extension of time, but have an excuse ready why u missed the first court calling.
