Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking to find some software that'll let me write up information (like a spreadsheet would) and then once finished allow me to organise it by each category.

What I mean by that is to have it so, like in a programme like iTunes, I can click on a category at the top (name, age, occupation) and have the list re-arrange alphabetically within that category - so when I click on 'name', all the names in that list arrange themselves alphabetically.

Anyone know what I mean and know of any software that would let me do this?

I have Open Office, not MS Office unfortunately (although there could be a way to do it in that too - just can't find one)

Not even sure if I have MS Access...

If I understand what you're asking for, then you can do it in Excel and presumably Open Office Spreadsheet. Highlight the whole page (click top left square) and do data -> filter or whatever, and keep 1 row as headings, and then you can sort by each category.

That's not quite was I was looking for but it seems to solve the problem in a different way, so thanks for that!

try OpenOffice BASE - it's a little like MS Access - but if excel/calc works then a database may be overkill for now. If you change your mind then very easy to import the spreadsheet later.
