On Friday, I can look forward to the following trip: Flying Cork - Heathrow, Heathrow to LAX, LAX to San Jose, taking the bus from San Jose to Santa Cruz and then somehow finding our house.

Anyone else got equally bad arrangements to get to your destination?

Dub --> New York so that's fine.

Have to get from Tipp to Dub tho, and also have no housing sorted at the other end, so that's not so fine.
