    Week One Results and Previews to Week Two

    This weekend in the Lucozade Elite League, the defending RLI Champions get back to work to try and defend their title. Training the last six weeks they appear keener than ever to get on the pitch to kick off their season. Their opening fixture sees them travel to play the Eagles, who lost narrowly last Saturday in injury time. Like most Eagles they will look to soar back to winning ways and give the Titan’s tough welcome to the Nest and RLI VII. This is our Lucozade Sport Game of the week. The other fixture in the Elite league will see Dublin Blues at home to the Dragons. Both teams had mixed fortunes last weekend and will be looking to gain momentum and build on last week’s performances.
    In the Emerald Rugby Conference North, the Returning Tallaght Tigers out in the wilderness for the last 8 years will be travelling to play the Pumas who last week recorded an historic memorable victory in Athlone and will be looking to add more point this week. The other fixture sees the Exiles host the Arrows. The Exiles on home turf are always difficult, but following last weeks away win they will certainly look to add their impressive home record of recent years, however the Arrow’s will be hoping to burst the exiles party and with their strong and new squad will be looking to put their lessons from last week right this week.
    In the Conference South the newly arrived Galway Tribesmen will be looking to open their RLI account with an away game to Kilkenny Wildcats. This is guaranteed to be a bruising encounter as the tamed Wildcats will be looking to exert themselves on this campaign when they will be looking to put right their game from last week. The Emerald Rugby Game of the week is without doubt the Panthers at home to the Knights. These two closest of rivals have met twice before in RLI V & VI, with no more than a single score between them, guaranteed to be no love lost in this game and is sure to be a cracker of a game and based on history will be tight right to the end.

    New Zealand Tour 2007
    The Ireland tour kick off with an encouraging 42-16 win to the province side Bay of Plenty. Match report to follow when it arrives. This was an excellent result for the lads and one they will take into their game on Wednesday against Whangerei. Their final game is on Saturday against a strong Aukland side and on Sunday they will be guests of honour at the Warriors v Bulldogs game. Well done to all on tour, keep up the strong work.

    TITAN's Launch

    Titans will be having their official Kit launch on May 31st in the Cornmarket bar in Limerick. Everyone is welcome to attend and this invitation is extended to all in RLI.
