Bongo Frendee Pop up

Not sure if anyone is interested in this Pop up roof Bongo, I just came across it whilst looking for something else, looks resonable value at 240,000 Yen FOB Japan. (about €1500 + shipping + taxes)

Any opinions?

friend has one like that, Mazda Bongo rebadged as a Ford Freda, he loves it and hasn't given an ounce of bother

They're niftly little things, very back-road friendly dimensions, strong engine and comfortable with the automatic gearbox. Some can even be had in 4WD.
Only disadvantage is they are not very roomy inside.

Any idea what shipping and taxes would be (roughly) ?
These things sell for between 8 -12 k once they reach these shores.

From past experiance probably about €800

so likely cost would be 1500 + 800 = 2300 + 10% duty = 2530 + 21%VAT = 3060 + Custom clearance charges + VRT (?) Can't see it standing you more than €5000 if my figures are correct!

Just noticed that the price on the website is now 290,000 yen compared to 240,000 yesterday! That makes the FOB price about €1800. Still good value though.
