Would placing a sticker that cannot be removed easilly on a car not be considered criminal Damage, littering, and endangering traffic?

Surely legal proceedings have been taken against one of these parking companies.

A maxfax doc is unlikely to be rushing to A&E to do such work. If the crash was that bad then there'd likely be other more important (and possibly life threating) injuries to be taken care of first. Once these serious and immediate issues are mitigated then the maxfax intervention will take place. I dare suggest that there would be a maxfax specialist at hand anyway who could contain a situation until an on-call registrar or consultant arrived on the scene, after securely leaving their car in a designated car park of course.

I'm not sure if they're illegal but I reckon if you were in an accident because they blocked your view the company could be liable.
I presume the law would view the situation in much the same light as someone drink driving. The barman served the person but didn't make them drive home!
I know if I ever get one I'll be taking a claim in the small claims court for cleaning costs. I guess that will tell me one way or the other :D
Im sure thay have some form of disclaimer against damage done during the clamping or towing process.

Like i said there is no such designated car park in this case.

We recently had a case where someone arrived to do surgery, sticker placed on his car, he arrives back out, drives home and refuses to come back in until the sticker is removed. 2 security guards were sent to his house to remove the sticker from his windshield.

Let them disclaim away; you didn't agree to them clamping or towing you, so it's their problem.

Several years ago I had my car towed fropm outside my flat (legally parked; they were putting down new lines on the road and moved the car around the corner on the back of a truck. Rang Gardai to say my car was stolen, and they told me where it was!). Some little hooigan kicked the mirror off it, and the corpo made the towing company pay for the damage.

I notice you're replying to my post , which was the one that wasn't proving you 100% wrong, or the post that asked were you making an attempt to threaten somebody.

Did this happen in the states?

Theses stickers are intended to intimidate and punish drivers in a manner not used by normal law enforcement personel. If we use how official parking tickets issued by the Gardaí and traffic wardens are affixed to a car as yardstick for correct legal behaviour then these stickers are vandalism pure and simple and should be reported to the Gardaí as such.

In this case, it kind of is. In any case, if you can't see, for whatever reason, than you can't drive.

It is night, you are 20 miles from home and the soap and warm water shop is closed.

    Do you:
    a) Get a taxi home
    b) break your windscreen,
    c) Chance driving home.

Most people will go with C. If it is the side window then you can at least roll it down.

If a private individual sticks sticky stuff on your car it can be criminal damage, if a local authority does it then the dynamic is a bit different, but the end result may be the same.

Read the forum rules - if you're not going to contribute something to the thread then you're breaking the rules by coming on here trolling.

Disclaimers don't work, plain and simple.

Perhaps you should read the rules yourself. If personally threatening people on here is not breaking the forum rules then I don't know what is.

You started it my friend - you can't go around calling people names like "big boy" and not expect a reaction.

Fair enough, i got a bit angry. But i think Anan1 deserves a warning for making comments to get a reaction in the first place.

I think that you should both be beaten with a big stick, but that's just me!!!

Anyway, to the OP, I apologise for this off-camber ramble.

    On with the show...
