Help with wireless router on Metro

wireless card: broadcom 802.11g
os: vista
broadband : metro

ok trying to set this guy up cant even see the router.

I know internet is working cause if i plug directly into the thompson modem i can get on the internet.

When i put cable modem into the wlan port i cant get anything. i even then tried to use rj 45 cable direct to one of the ports and sitll cant get it up and running do i need to tell the thomson something. any help much appreciated im doing it right now if you got any ideas shout.
