    You mean: http://www.diy-street.com/

It's the infamous 4 LEDs of death that's afflicting my machine.

It could be the battery but I think it's the CMOS.
I've cleared the CMOS again and removed the battery and will try it again in the morning, maybe it'll be ok.
Otherwise I might give these guys a try, they seem reasonable.

    Thanks.

What type of board is it? I think I have a dfi nf4 bios chip lying around.

Aye, swap with a working chip, power on.
Then a) boot up the bios flash and b)hot-swap the 'bad' chip (or vice versa - confirmation anyone?) should do it.

That is if it's a socketed chip.

Depends on the board, i know it works with asus and gigabyte boards, wont work with my dfi one though :(

Got a NFII UltraB, Not sur if it would work, might be able to boot flash it though if its the same.

The chip is a Winbond W39V040AP

I dont think the bios on the nf2 will be compatible with a nf4. like i said try dit-street.com you will get a much better answer there.

    http://www.flashbios.org/ is another one and
I've dealt with these guys before, specifically Arthur Keerkmeester.
They only use Paypal now so I won't be dealing with them unfortunately.

I have ordered one from this crowd though and I hope they're ok:

A bit expensive but when you're stuck...

And DFI are sending me one FOC.

So I will have a couple of spares to play with.

Got the BIOS from DFI in NL but now all I'm getting is the Video Bios information at top of the screen, with blinking cursor beneath.
No keyboard response or speaker response.
1 LED the first one I believe stays lit. After cycling through the others.
There are only 2 things I haven't done:
1: is to remove the CPU and reseat it again.
2: is to remove the CPU and try another one - obviously this is the last resort.

I've been in contact with DFI again and they say that if nothing else works then the board must be gone...I know that these boards do die, but I hope not this one...yet.

Does anyone have any experience of that problem here?

Got the BIOS from Eksitdata(Sweden) and it POSTed and booted up first time.
Used the BIOS Savior to make a back up copy, actually using this as the main BIOS now. I'll program the DFI one at the weekend and see if it takes. Then I'll have 2 spares.

    Thanks anyway TonyM.
