    David McCann had both his main bike and his second bike stolen. In my opinion this ruined his chance of another victory or top placing in the Rás. I know he had problems on the following stage with the substitute bike which he then had to change mid-stage. Whoever (a mechanic??) was responsible for bike security should be fired. AFAIK the bikes were left overnight in a team van...talk about a schoolboy error.

    I think this may be what was stolen (pictured is David with his Colavita team bike)

    I wouldn't worry, they all need new bikes to try this track nonsense for the Olympics anyway.
