identify flower please

    I have flowers in the garden for many years now my mother calls them rockets however, I cannot seem to find them listed in any book as rockets or another name.

    They are currently in flower and they grow along some roads and old houses (they are not wild). they vary in colour from pale pink, white to lilac and smell lovely especially after rain and grow approx 3.5-4ft.

    The flower shape is very similar to some types of phlox.....
