Toshiba Sattelite Monitor

Quick question: A friend of mine has one of these (can't remember the exact model, about 3 or 4 years old though), and the screen's starting to act up. It's not displaying properly on some portions and flichering whenever the screen is moved, so I'm guessing it's the cable to the screen or one of its connectors. I've done a repair job on that cable before, but never on a Toshiba, so I'm just wondering is it a simple job, or is it a manufacturer-only job?

I'm pretty handy hardware wise, repaired similar faults before so the technicalities shouldn't be a problem. Another thing though - if it is relatively straightforward, is that part even available? Just trying to get an idea before I have the thing apart only to realise it's impossible...

    Thanks!
