Advice on creating a Web Folder with Login

Hi, I would like to make an online folder that requires a logon to access it. Is it possible to create a HTM page that would read the contents of the folder and automatically display them when files are added? Hope that makes sense!
Any suggestions appreciated.

You would need server side coding in order t do this. Does your host support htaccess, ASP, ASP.net, PHP, CGI or similar?

It will be hosted on a server running windows server 2003 i think. I presume that will support an access database and ASP wont it?

I have learnt a bit about this in the past but have totally forgotten everything... Too much Photoshop!

I remember turning on ISS or somthing in the past to test my asp code. Is ISS still used?

Have a look at

for reading the files in the folder.

One last thing, is windows server 2003 setup to run IIS, ASP and the database stuff without much messing about?

Is this your server or is it a virtual server (web host)?
Win 2003 will run it fine.
