Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK - new rig arrived and I'm in the process of building it up and installing all the goodies, however one little snagette.

My existing Windows XP key (from the system that I'm replacing) will not work on the new rig, it craps out at the internet validation stage. I promise you I'm not trying anything funny here, but it just doesn't accept it. My intention is to decommission the old system once the new one is up and running.

Since it doesn't look like I'll be able to use my existing Windows XP I need to get my hands on a new one, and I was rather hoping to do it urgento as I've put some time aside this weekend to getting the new rig up to spec.

I've tried PC world, Harvey Normans, peats etc. but no joy. All they want to do is sell Vista. Rang maplins but they don't do software.

Any suggestions folks? Specifically, somewhere which will be open over the bank holiday weekend where I can just walk in and grab a copy of WinXP.

EDIT: I should say that I'm interested in just the media and key (OEM) version, I've no interest in the full package.

    Let me know. Thanks.

You can't buy the OEM without hardware, you can't transfer a microsoft OEM license regardless of the brand (other companies may allow it)

if it's a non-oem then phone up activation and talk through it.

you can buy vista business and downgrade to XP pro :(
