Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

siting of a small antenna

    Hi All,
I need to site a small antenna (no bigger than a typical tv arial) on a high location.(somewhere mountainy or hilly).

How would I go about finding out who owns the land?
Or is it common land? If so, would I be able to get council permission to do this.

Also, if i get consent from a landowner...will I be required to apply for planning permission??

Obviously i know that i'll have to confirm this with relevant bodies...I just want some opinion on it from you guys.

    Cheers

    Dave

I doubt the CC own it.
Land Registry Website is what you're after.

I'm not sure about the PP requirement. Given the size of you proposed aerial, I doubt it's needed. But transmitting may require a license from Comreg if it's in a licensed part of the spectrum and above a certain power level.

A little more detailed info on your exact plans/reasons may make it easier to answer your question.

With regard to planning permission, it might be required as the exemptions in the planning regulations http://www.environ.ie/en/Publications/DevelopmentandHousing/Planning/FileDownLoad,8797,en.pdf
as far as i know only apply to dishs within the curtilage of houses or businesses or work carried out by authorised undertakings (licenced telecommunication providers)
