2 PSU's in single PC (possible)

Hi,

I just had a wierd thought and since I dont know much about this subject I thought I should ask some people.

Is there any reason why not to use 2 PSU's in a single PC with one running almost the whole system and the other just connected to the graphics card(s) only?

It would seriously cut down prices if I only need to buy a small extra PSU rather than a huge one if this would work.

You could have asked all these questions in the one post you know. Any way for dual PSUs you need one of these.

I have two PSU's in my rig. I just shorted one of them with a pin. I turn it on and off via the switch on the socket wallplate. Has worked fine for over a year now!

Yeah, i was thinking that but it would be less of a mess and wouldnt void warranty or risk damage. As the OP seems a little inexperienced i dont think he should risk it for the sake of 6 or 7 euro.
