Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone tried the bolt trick? Works every time and is a permanent solution .

I’ve brought back about ten 360 from the grave, no sweat.:D

I believe you mean something like this:

I also heard that putting silicon compound under the heatsink instead of the normal thermal compound could work. Definitely seems to be something to do with the heatsink anyway, and M$ should have sorted that out long ago.

Ah Clover ya got it wrong man, he need's the 3 RROD repair kit, not the 4 RROD Kit (Check the picture of your kit).

I believe it has something to do with the different grade's of fluffyness of the towel material.

    3 RROD needs grade 2 fluffyness ;)

It involves wrapping a towel around the 360 and leaving it turned on for a length of time, cool down for a set period, then leave it turned on again.

Very very stupid thing to try as it could end up burning your house down...

dont get too excited, they tend to not care about that law and charge for repair alot of the time.
I just bought a new core 360 and put my premiums hdd into it. I couldnt have been arsed sending it off to MS just so they can send me back some refurbed piece of ****. Means i finally got to play lost planet..im enjoying it alot more now that it doesnt crash every 5 minutes.
