Hey, iv noticed that the majority of people arnt doing this book, yere al doing division and realignment, but if anyone is could u answer this question for me please? im doing industrialisation and social tensions in germany 1871-1914 and theres 2 possible questions that could come up: 1) Treat of the factors that stimulated large-scale industrial growth in germany (i.e. increase in population, raw materials, cartels etc.) 2) The impact of industrialisation on Germany. im stuck with number 2. am i supposed to only discuss socialism as that was the impact of it, but am i supposed to say some stuff about the economic part of it too (increase in steel output etc.)? i think its just the socialism part, thats what my teacher told me, but just want to make sure. thanks :)

Sorry, I'm ignoring the social and economic side of this book altogether. And if you're right, and most people aren't doing this book, then it's a shame. It's probably the easiest out of the four books we're doing.

I totally agree, the divison... book is supposed to be impossible! its good for us that a lot of people arnt doing it! what do u think will come up? im hoping the eastern question or causes of ww1. and of course bismarck's foreign policy, the old faithful!

Almost the exact same as you, yeah. Bismarck especially's bound to come up.

I'm predicting Women during WW1 or Science, medicine and technology including the motor car will make an appearance. They're the two case studies that didn't come up last year.

I am hoping for the eastern question, church state relations or how Otta Van kept the peace.

I'd try and avoid the Social and Economic questions If at all possible. The politics have far more scope and you can get some damn good answers. Just my two cents from a last year Historian:)

No i suck at the politics part! i love economic history, i just find it easier to remember for some reason. so this is my plan now for this book and will someone let me know if im covered this way? so, they have to examine at least 2 of the 3 perspectives. its a given that 2 questions will come up on politics. so that means the last 2 will either both come from culture or both come from economy or 1 from each. iv studied all society and economy and im doing all of culture, except the motor car cuz theres not enuf info on karl benz. does that sound ok?

I'm doing that book. Also avoiding that section of the book. Not even the teacher did it with us. Bismarck has to show up this year, didnt last year anyway. Hopewfully either that or Women in the Workforce thing. Relatively easy section IMO.
