Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Three Datamodem SMTP

I recently got the Three.ie Datamodem and have it happily working away with my iBook (apart from that little outage earlier today and having to resort to the good info on boards to figure out the APN). However, when I try to send email using the SMTP mail server for my domain I get a 451 blocked message:

    451 Blocked - see http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?217.171.137.241

I've testing connecting serveral times but the traffic appears to always route through this outbound proxy address.
Has anyone got any ideas for being able to send mail while using Three without resorting to webmail?

    Fingers crossed...
    cmac

Use another SMTP server. For example, if you have a Gmail account, activate POP access and use Google for sending and receiving mail. Works great with Mail.app.

Thanks Urban, I'll give that a try later. But will it let me send mail with the correct email address, i.e. me@mydomain.com rather than me@gmail.com?
