Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How much have you been offered to stay when you have called and said you are leaving?

    Most I was ever offered by Vodafone was three months free rental.

    They don't really have much in the way of retentions here. Now a few years back my mam was able to secure a really good monthly contract on vodafone with plenty of minutes/texts. Other than that, three free months is pitiful really.

    How many free months do you want? 12? What's the point in keeping you if they're gonna comp all your bills?

    When working with 02 i got a few people bumped up from gold to diamond upgrades as they were really unhappy and vodafone were doing really good (in comparison) connection deals on the likes of the n70.

    @neilled
    These customers would have the spend to match though, surely?

    I wouldn't want 12 free months, but say, more minutes, or the same minutes for less, something similar.

    The customers were entitled to a gold upgrade. The handset would have cost ( for example) say ?350 on upgrade. The rival network has it for ?200 on a similar priceplan for a new customer. Customer complains bitterly to retail staff, retail staff rings customer care, tells customer care customer is peeved, explains priceplans and cost to customer care. Customer care offers line rental discount, after upgrade etc. Its an open secret. In the uk you normally ask for your pac code which you need to bring your number with you to another network. That normally sets alarm cells singing and you may look forward to a better offer.
