    Hi folks

    Have a GeForce 6200 256MB AGP 8X card which when fitted to my Athlon-XP machine, shows nothing - the machine doesn't even get to POST.

    Motherboard= MSI 746F Ultra (AGP8X capable)
    CPU= Athlon-XP
    RAM= 512Mb
    OS= XP Pro SP2 etc

    Same machine with a lesser AGP card is absolutely fine. Have tried the GeForce6200 in my other machine (Abit A17 mobo + Pentrium4 2.4GHz + 1.5Gb RAM) and it works fine (although the device drivers start chewing resources - but that's another problem).

    Any ideas ? The card is a good fit, and doesn't have any extra power requirements/connections.

    Thanks

    Frank

    try reseting your cmos on the first pc. And try the card again.

    Weird, you might want to try updating the motherboard bios perhaps.

    You could also try updating the bios of the 6200 if there is a newer one available on mkvtech which holds the necessary tools.
