Does anybody know of any good drama clubs or societies in Dublin?

I'm not certain exactly what you mean by drama clubs/societies but if its amateur performance you're interested in, the Drama League of Ireland have a list of a lot of the amateur drama groups, most of which are very good, from all over the country.

Ring the number on this page, and they should be able to recommend a suitable group and let you know how to contact them.

Most groups I know, have little or no activity throughout the summer (long evenings don't help audience numbers), though it is possible some of the groups have some activities throughout the year.

Also there are two summer schools, the first one is run by the DLI, (I don't know who runs the other), but I know from speaking to others that both are enjoyable. Some courses are probably fully booked at this stage so if you are interested you should hurry.

Stageworks is fab! Highly recommend it, I'll be there again in July.

It's run by a very professional team and has a great choice of courses this year. Check out their website.
