Got banned from here for posting a dirty Sanchez cartoon without NSFW tags.
That was for a week but I forgot and I PM'd WWM 2 months later.

Pigheads not one to dilute others achievments in life but 24, Adverts,Home Entertainment and Foreign fcuking satellites seem suspiciously like "Ah give him a couple of crappy forums to shut him up" type scenarios to me.

A bit like when Jesus gathered all his mates and gave them the title of "Apostle".

Twice from Politics for calling Ra heads ****tards/murderers/scum (can't remember the exact insults but I'd stand by them - like nesf said, sometimes a week / month ban is worth calling an idiot an idiot for.)

Twice from PI for being too blunt iirc.

Once from Gigs & Events for not reading the charter

Once from the old For Sale \ Tickets for posting my phone number in a 'tickets wanted thread'

Think there've been a few from AH for abusing people.

And a month's site-ban for giving Regi negative rep (for a jokey post along the likes of 'joo can't neg rep me r I will destroy joo) and signing it 'Dev'. Dev later told me he'd seen the funny side of it but had to ban me along with the others who'd signed his name to rep which was fair enough.

So 7/8 fora bans (possibly more I've forgotten) and 1 site ban. Can't say I didn't deserve any of them tbh.

Twas banned from Politics for a year because instead of agreeing with the majority and damning Sinn Fein and Gerry Adams I talked about the facts which in most cases is ok but when its Sinn Fein well the facts don't really matter, oh and also because most people don't know what the word "ignorant" actually means, i was banned for saying someones post was ignorant, which it was if you know the English language i.e. "Lacking education or knowledge" but apparently my level of expectation of intelligence on boards was too high

Dunno what the big deal is with being banned ? its just a message board on the internet, of course you have the people who never go out, and would just die if they had to pick a new screen name, losing all their posting stats in the process.

I suppose it is a handy place for the odd bit of advice, or letting off some steam. But, I wouldnt get too worked up about being banned. I suppose the biggest headache would be thinking up a new username :-) .

still am banned there but couldnt be arsed doing anything about it because its impossible to have a rational debate there thanks to two mods in particular. even a cursory view of it'll point them out im actually surprised theres not more people mentioning it as alot of people get banned there

beside's im having more fun on potlics.ie at the moment, they let you swear

TBH ive not had a problem with any other area on boards

The best ban I saw was when the trigger happy WWMan banned several people from the Know Your Nerds thread for posting comment without a picture. One particularly enraged onlooker said along the lines of

"Banned for that? ffs, you know what, you may as well go ahead and ban me too, you wanker!"

Banned loads of times. Few of them I remember. Banned from After Hours after claiming a user was making racist remarks, which he was. Banned from Fashion after a guy was slagging me because my father was black and I replied to a smart ass remark he made. Banned more recently from Fashion for using non pc terms for black people and also using paki to describe a friend of mine who's father is from Pakistan. Another user using a racist term and I was pointing this out with my language.

If you get banned from any forum you get.."<username>, you do not have permission to view this page...." etc. The same message shows up if you try to access forums that you have no permission for.


If you are sitebanned you would get a message like..

I remember i kinda got angry at this guy who was slagging off limerick, and i got banned for it.
Im pretty sure it was Amz who banned me, sent her a few pm's to see if she could lift the ban, but no response!
