Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi guys. Recently my sisters laptop has bucked the kicket, courtesy of my dad and a bit of DIY (destroy it youself)

I have the HD out of the laptop, but cannot access my sisters folder in Documents and Settings, obviously because it is using the laptops permissions (has access for like laptop\admin, but not draz_desktop\admin)

Is there a way to circumvent this? I havent actually had a chance to sit down at this yet (happened yesterday, will be going at it tonight) and to be honest i dont know how to phrase a search for Google (try typing win XP permission hack into google!!)

    Anyone got any thoughts?

right click on the folders and change the permissions, you'll probably need to take ownership too

    Hey There

Yeah the permissions thing was it. Had to take full ownership of the entire HD (just for safe keeping) and all subdirectories etc. then i could copy the contents over. Cheers for the heads up.
