Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Half Life 2 and Stalker play 100% for me on Vista with latest Nvidia drivers, actually, they play better on Vista than XP ;)

    Same here!

You will more than likely run into UAC (user account control) problems but they are nothing!
Had a problem with Chaos Theory but with a bit of googling it was fixed within five minutes.
I have however heard some people going on about losing some frames per second playing games in Vista.

    Between 10-20fps for most games.

The dip in frame rate varies from game to game as not all optimizations for games are in place in the drivers & they had had a long time to fine tune XP.

I would go with an ATI graphics card if they offer the option in the PC if you want the minimum of fuss as ATI's Vista performance is about on par with XP now whereas NVIDIA's is much more erratic.

Pure toss. The immature drivers for Vista are the main cause, not vista itself.

10-20fps is rubbish also, those figures were bandied about by so called experts when the Vista betas were released. Drivers were the main cause.
