Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Is it worth getting?

I see Amazon UK have a vision + 12 month package that costs around €74. It also comes with Robotron, Uno + 200 points. These are 2 games I had planned on getting anyway from the arcade store at some stage.

So with the cheapest gold I can find being €50 and taking the other extras into account the camera would be working out at about 7-9€. Any games make use of the camera or is it just a gimmick for showing your pic/video chat?

Also when they say these arcade games are included, how does that work? Are they on a disk that you would always have to insert to play like the arcade unplugged disk or would they be activated some way via a code?

Depends on which amazon you're ordering from.

You also get another arcade game, Totemball, that you actualy have to use the camera to control as well. You will get codes for the other games that then lets you download them from the marketplace.

The camera is used in some other games but mostly just to show you the other person that you are playing against, RainbowSix lets you put your own face on the character for multi player though.

Think I'll go with that deal from Amazon UK. I see you also get an extra set of headphones with it, not that I need them! But when I add what I would pay for the gold and arcade games then for less than €10 I suppose it's an alright deal for the camera.

Yep and more games are working with the vision cam, i heard rumours of EA Sports 08 titles using face mapping in the Create-A-Player modes.

Great laugh on Uno, worth the money especially with the 12month subscription.
