Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are hotspots set for mixed b/g mode?

    Hi,

I'm being given a business smartphone next week. It has 'b' wifi.
I was wondering if the hotspots around the country (hotels, shopping centres) are generally set up for mixed mode (b/g) or 'g' only.
I could wait another few months to get a 'g' wifi phone if the one I'm getting is no good for the hotspots around.

    Hoping for some advice.

    Many thanks.

it depends on the hotspot i think. i don't see any reason for setting it to 'b' only. maybe there is some speed difference the only thing is that when a 'b' device joins the network everyone else gets dragged down to 'b' speed i think
