    HI, I came across this link while reading another article on this site & thought of posting here, it seems FoxNews has come across this story about Alan Doherty This is quoted from the site:
    Doherty was born with an almost unheard of condition called otofacial syndrome, which rendered him with no jaw or chin.

    He is one of only two people in the world known to have this condition. one of only two people in the world known to have this condition

    he's a very nice young fella, i see him regularly with his family, he's always watching the football.
    think he went to America last year to play in some sport.

    they raised funds for him to go and have surgery in America, hope it works out good for him.

    Yes, this is tragic to say the least. Apparently in India and China they are very advanced in treating most conditions and IMHO the Irish HSE should not hesitate in using the' referral funds' to have this case treated as a priority. In any country worldwide.
