    hey stupid question i know but what do the irish words "gairid" and "onamataipé" mean?

    Gairid = short. Onamataipé = onaematopaiea.

    And yes, I'm well aware the latter is probably spelt wrong.

    Onaematopaiea was a horrible thing to put in an ordinary exam. The teachers were giving out ****e about that.

    The Irish test is known for throwing in obscure words. What was it ... "mianta" (?) that was on higher level? Of course, I made an educated guess as to what it meant, but I never knew it was a word.
