I think I know how to unlock a Vodafone U.K. phone-
1.Buy a vodafone U.K. locked phone on ebay or anywhere.
2.Buy a vodafone U.K. sim(the sim may come with the phone).
3.Register the sim on the vodafone website.
4.Buy £20 credit on the vodafone website with a credit card(you need to buy at least "20 credit to get the unlock code).
5.E-mail vodafone U.k. and ask them for the unlock code.
6.They will e-mail you or text you the code.
Do you thinnk this will work?

No dont think this will ever work ,you need to use it alot more then 20 pound to get a unlock code

As far as i knew the spend requirement was much higher, it's over €100 for VF ireland. I say keep that email and hold them to it!

If it was that was that easy surely who ever was selling the phone would simply un lock it ..............and may even get more for it now as its sim free;) !!!
