Health And Safety Authority - Where Are They?

Remedial works being carried out on the Outer Ring Road all week. No traffic management in place and umpteen traffic regulations being broken. Came on to the first roundabout after the Cork Road exit and here was a guy spraying yellow paint on a defective section of road..........on the roundabout. No warning that he was there, roadwork signs, cones, etc. Proceeded further on to the Tramore Road roundabout and you entered on on side with the left lane closed, but on the exit at the far side the right lane was closed.

Now the HSA appear to be great at raiding building sites, but where are they (and the NRA) when all of this is going on? It's only a matter of time before there's a fatality. And the motorist will, of course, take the blame.

Hmmmm, I agree in most part there should be adequate warning at both ends of the ORR and then more substantial signage and contraflows as one approaches the sections undergoing maintainance.

tbh the whole ORR project has an ad-hoc feel to it.

    Mike.
