PDC Order of Merit - Desert Classic & World Matchplay Places Confirmed

The automatic qualifiers for next months Las Vegas Desert Classic and Stan James World Matchplay have been announced.

The top 12 players in the Order of Merit qualify for the Las Vegas Desert Championships. They are:

The top 28 qualify for the World Matchplay. Mick McGowan just managed to scrape in as he jumped up 2 places from 29th to 27th despite losing in the fourth round of the Uk Open. The qualifiers are:

There are two Players Championships tournaments this weekend which will be the final two tournaments before the two big ones. The top four players in the Players Championships Order of Merit who are NOT in the top 28 of the full Order of Merit will qualify for the World Matchplay.

Great to see Mick McGowan qualify for Blackpool. He hasnt been in as good of form as he was for the last 6 months of 2006, but hopefully he can avoid the really big guns in the draw and win a few rounds.

There are two Players Championship events in Hayling Island (wherever that is!) this weekend, these will finalise the 4 final qualifier places. I'm hoping for Van Gerwen, Klaasen, King and Eccles to come through.
