Woah, this thread got REALLY pedantic last night!

How'd everyone get on? I was so glad the first comprehension wasn't too hard, and the questions were mostly in order of where the answer appeared in the text.
Have to say I was pleased with everything overall. Can't complain-its over now!

Ditto! :) I nearly ran out of time on the letter - the comprehensions were quite long, but it was ok. What was the deal with the tape? The year of the dolphins?!

    Yeah same about the letter.

I think it was fines for fishermen because dolphins are getting caught in their nets, their over fishing and their dirtying the ocean.

    Thats what i understood anyway!

It was so random though, and unfair on students who didn't guess that it was about dolphins. It doesn't really test your general German comprehension! I ain't complainin' though.
    :)

I thought the first comprehension was fairly easy, for once in german I actually understood what went on. Part 4 of the listening was a bit tough.

I was delighted with the paper, but I could see why people didnt like the Äußerungen. The year of the Dolphin- didnt get that bit at all, otherwise the paper was nice. Good to see all the English like words in the paper yesterday, they're normally not that fond of using the most up to date German in the exampaper. Because of course German is becoming more and more like English everyday, with the ever increasing Anglicisation of the language.

Doable paper, part i liked most was on the last part of the second comprhension. Usually you've to match 6 parts and you've 9 answers, this year there was only 6 meant i got some of the marks compared to my usual zero.
