Just wondering where the best places to go are to get a C/E or above licence? Also how much it generally costs and time it takes to become fully qualified? I currently just have a full clean B licence.

    Thanks:)

If you have a B licence you may apply for a theory truck test (provided you are over 18 years of age). If successful you may apply for a provisional category C licence (usually known as a 'rigid' truck licence).

If you pass the driving test in category C you may then apply for a provisional license in category CE (articulated truck).

You don't state which part of the country you are in. If it's Dublin, the main truck schools in northside are Colliers, Airport, Alexandra and ISM. I'm not too sure about the southside.

It been a good few years since I did mine (with Colliers) so I can't remember the prices. Lessons generally last 2 hours.

Truck test waiting times are generally much shorter than that for cars. If you passed both tests first time you could have a CE license within 3 or 4 months (or sooner if prepared to be tested at short notice).
