Wireless keeps disconnecting

    Hi, I have been using a wireless router the last few months and now everytime I connect I lose connection after about 2 mins and I have disconnect and reconnect again. I haven't changed any hardware/software or settings so I don't know how this could happen. My other laptops still have no problem it's just my newest one (Running Vista HP), but this has been running fine for months until now.

    The problem doesnt happen everytime I run, just most times. If I run battlefield, it always stays connected, but if I run MSN messenger it still disconnects. (It doesnt happen just when I open a browser or application, the wireless signal icon changes after a few minutes from full bars to the caution symbol and gives connectivity warning minutes after I connect).

    Does anyone know the cause/fix for this?

    How close to the access point are you, try moving further away or changing the direction on the antenna, or relocate the access point. Survey it with your laptop or whatever it is, move to another room and see what the signal strength is like.

    It is about 3 metres away, I walked to other rooms and it doesnt work. The strenght is full bars when it is working. My other laptops have no issues in any room as did this one until a few days ago.
