Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista Ultimate - Network & Sharing Center is gone!!

    Hi all.

I've recently installed some new ram and the Linksys WRT54G (v7), but I believe my problem hasn't got anything to do with these installs as I noticed it before (but resolved with a restart)..

Basically, my Network & Sharing Center is gone, when I try to open it I get what looks like the outline of a window which quickly disappears and then nothing. It just doesn't open.

When I go to the Control panel all I see for the N&SC icon is a normal yellow folder (like the Offline files icon, but no green spot). Which I think maybe means my .cpl (or what ever they're called) file is gone. Has anyone else had this problem?

I mean, everything is working fine. The system is performing a bit better with the new ram and the router is a dream (except for setting up RDC, which is another thread altogether.)

    Any thoughts?

Vista DVD -> Repair Vista? (I forget what it it's called, but I know it has it like XP)

Can you access it perhaps by right clicking the network icon in the system tray?

nipplenuts, yeh the same thing happens... an outline of a window appears for a second and then disappears.

I'm gonna try the dvd as bopniblets suggested. I'll update soon. Thanks.
