Can anyone tell me the difference between 'bounce rate' and '%exit' in Google Analytics when applied to an individual page on a site?? It's quite confusing and isn't specified in their help section.

I know the bounce rate for the entire site is the % who bounce away to another site having only visited the entry page. Is the bounce rate for a particular page the % who bounced to another site having only visited the page in question?

And what pray tell then is '% Exit' of a page?

Bounce rates refer to the number of people who enter a page, and then leave almost instantly (they can be coming and going to another page on your site or could be coming and going from and external site).

Exit rates refer to the number of people who leave your site on the particular page.
