Well I just started overclocking my cpu more and I'm just wondering what temp is the most important. The cpu temp was hitting 51C on load and the core temps were hitting around 62C. Should I be worried about the high core temp?
    Cheers.

yes. The core temp is the "real" temperature of your CPU. The CPU temp is recording the air temp around the cpu socket using a temp. diode.

Always work your overclock around the highest temperature.

Ah typical. My cpu cooler wasn't making proper contact with the cpu. Temps went down my 10C.
