Eircom increase Line Rental and then some

    Always a good time to put this out when the media will be swallowing up the Government Cabinet.
    Eircom is to increase prices to offset the cost of providing and maintaining its telecom infrastructure.

    From 30th July the average bill is to go up 3.6%, with the monthly line rental to increase 4.9% or €1.18.

    All local and national calls, and the 11811 directory service will also go up 4.9%.

    Ireland are already the dearest country in Europe for Line Rental !

    Now it's up to a whopping 25.36 a month !

    Even though broadband prices didn't increase directly, you need a land line to get eircoms dsl !

    Comreg poodles out yet another increase. no press release from them so far explaining this ripoff :(
