Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

braces and false tooth

hello im currently in the process of getting treatment for braces. I had to get a front tooth taken out as i had a very serious abyss on it and it could not be saved.

i was with my orthodentist last week and he explained to me that the gap would have to be left open when i have the brace on obviously because my gum and bones will be moving as my teeth are aligned.

He is to talk with his other colleagues to see how a temporary "false" tooth could be put in place. Has anybody had this experience with braces because i really dont want to be going around for the next 18 months or so with a big gap right in the front of my mouth along with the braces!!! any replies would be appreciated.

hi a denture tooth can be easily bonded to the arch wire, no big deal. good luck with it.

Not sure why he would wait to put the crown on - there will be a tooth there eventually and it should be the same size as your original tooth. I don't think you would want to retrofit a tooth after everything has been straightened.

I would get a second opinion
