All our sites and email hosted by hosting365 are down.

I cannot even get throught to them on the phone to sort it out.

How do other businesses deal with a suitation like this ?
when their main communication and marketing tool is gone
with no knowledge when it will be restored

I'd suspect they're using IP telephony internally, which would be affected by a network outage.

I think a big problem that many business have is dealing with issues when their primary means of communication is lost. A lot of businesses, especially smaller and newer companies, have no backup when their email or phone lines go down, or even no plans to deal with such issues.

We are in the same situation..

Im more pissed off with the fact that their backup systems have failed yet again. Last time round, when the power went their generators kept tripping or something. They ran a load of generator tests not long after that.. So why didnt there gen kick in today? Our dedicated server is back up, but our email and shared hosting is still down

They didn't even send me an email to say what the problem was or that it will not happen again.

Just out of curiosity, are you on shared hosting or a dedicated server?

    Same thing again,

this time I got them on the phone but they had no club as to when they could fix the problem.

Just a quick question again. Are you in a shared hosting package or do you have a dedicated server?

What does the T&C's on your dedicated server package say regarding uptime?

In terms of the shared hosting, like all things you get what you pay for.
