    That's 7 for sure and a possible 9 I have a mate who played in one of the practice matches who is quite good. I could give him a call. Looking forward to the match have been injured for a while.

    That was a poor result by any standard.

    3-3 having been three up is scandalous lads.

    I tried shoring up the middle by pushing Jules back to work more with Shay, and having John as the creative midfielder with Joe up by himself. It meant we lost that bit up front but by that stage they were coming at us unrelentingly. It didn't really work as I'd hoped, but something had to be done.

    It was my call on the penalty taker, so I hold my hands up on that one. Apologies. But still, as I said after, the difference wasn't the penalty anyway.

    On the positive side. We created and scored three goals tonight, but we certainly shouldn't have needed more.

    The two new lads add something to our game, and we are still a better team than last season.

    And :D I shouted more in hope than conviction for the penalty. Couldn't believe the ref gave it!

    yeh, that was a bummer alright, we defo should've won it. I didn't hit the peno all that poorly though it wasnt' the hardest save in the world, and thats the way it goes sometimes, but in truth there's no excuse for missing a peno.

    Have to say I thought it was a soft peno for him to have given, wouldn't be happy with it given against us, but was glad to get it, though Des is right, the miss should've been irrelevant as we shouldn't have let them back to within a goal at any stage.

    We played very well in the first half I thought, but they defo got the better of us second half. As I said last night, me and Shay didn't get control of the centre of the pitch like we should have, but as I said, it's the most important part of the pitch and every player can contribute by pushing a little towards the middle to squeeze it a bit. That gives me and shay 15 sq yds each to cover at any time as opposed to 30. Full backs tucking in a bit and pushing up when we have the ball helps with this, as does wingers tucking in and tracking back when we don't have the ball. Strikers just thinking about where's best for them to stand can make a difference aswell. But we do need to get away from following a single man around the pitch - we need to focus on owning that danger zone.

    The win would've been great, but still plenty of positives to be taken, and I agree that the addition of Dave and Gav to the squad can only improve things.
