Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

His WSOP bracelet is due real soon for sure.

the guy seems to be on fire in plo this year

    from pokernews
Andy Black is considered one of the best players in the world to have never won a bracelet. He's been on a hot streak in 2007 after winning three Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments on three different continents. He's trying to add four to his list

Andy Black 1, Johnny Chan 0

Andy Black won the first battle of the day against Johnny Chan. On a board of {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Andy Black bet 20,500 and Chan called. Black showed {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for trip 10s with an Ace kicker. Chan mucked and Black won the pot.

Should that not be a house?

Mark Davis (who will be well known to Fitz/Jackpot/SE omaha players) just doubled through Johnny Chan, then knocked out the 10-time bracelet winner! Mark and Andy both well stacked with 19 players left of 576-runner field.

Edit: The Chief's Italian-American cousin still in too, Anthony MacCanello!

watched a bit of the 5k final table where stuart fox has played one hand and managed to fold his way to 2nd place for 400k+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 497 ✭✭gilmour

off topic - im watching the ppv live feed from the 5k NL final - Stuart Fox was short stacked coming into the FT and played exactly 1 hand, and he has now made it heads up with 100,000 to Mackeys 6.3million :D

The blinds at this years WSOP is seriously wrong, it has been a crapshoot and the chipleaders have taken each other out and now Fox has folded his way to nearly $500,000

Reading between the lines of the Pokernews reports, Mark seemed to play absolutely fantastic, he kept pumping all the way at final table, really went for it. He lost one huge pot that would usually be split, big all-in preflop coup Mark with KKxx double-suited against Rizen's AKKx one-suit, river Ace... then ran into quad 10s when he was making a move from the blinds. great performance though. fair play.

delighted for Mark... one of the most underrated players in Dublin I think... I've seen him made fun of on a regular basis.... which is really unfair for a guy with such an understanding of the game....

    Well done Mark!!
