Does anyone play this game? It's absolutely fantastic and it's a free game.
Google it if you want it.

It involves turning your keyboard upside down and holding it like a guitar, using F1, F2, F3, F4 and F5 as frets and Return as the pick. It is basically a FREE version of Guitar Hero for the PC and has thousands of downloadable songs to enhance the life-span of the game.

It's a brilliant game which is maybe the funnest game I have ever played and if you have the 360 Guitar Hero(tm) Guitar, you can use it on Frets on Fire.

I'm not that great at it yet but I'm playing it daily, Nothing Else Matters is great to play

I'd heard about it before, and seen a friend play it, but up until last night i'd never tried....because i'm stupid. Downloaded it, along with about 100 songs, and its great fun.

But i cant talk...i'm off to get 'Sweet Child of Mine' done perfectly.

It's absolutely fantastic, post yer high scores here lads. try the presets songs and post up the scores as at least that way we can compare as everyone has the same preset scores. I got 5 Stars on Easy on the Top Preset Song.

Got this: It's pretty easy but it's nice when you get it done really well. I'm going to try and do some preset one's to compare with you guys.

Blast, didn't realise the song pack were THAT big. It'll have to wait until next week when bb's set up (woo! ).

My best so far is 98% on the second preset song, the Bang Bang one. Yeah it's the easiest one...need play more now!

Can you get just single downloads? Stuck on dial up so I don't fancy a couple of hundred meg download. Looking through the songs on the FoF site but most of them seem to be iffy at best.

If you use uTorrent, then you can go to download a full pack but just choose the individual files from the pack which you want to download.

That's your best bet.

It's not too tricky if you follow me exactly.

First go into the game and then to game settings, change the "Upload Highscores" to yes. Apply the new settings and quit.

Now the science bit:

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\*YOUR NAME HERE*\Application Data\fretsonfire

Open fretsonfire.ini

find the line uploadurl =

And put this next to the equals http://charts.fretsonfire.net/fretsonfire/play

So it should look like,

uploadurl = http://charts.fretsonfire.net/fretsonfire/play

Save the .ini file and fire up frets on fire.

Although make sure to register on fretsonfire.net, or it won't work.
