Hi all just a quick question, I am looking to open an account with ladbrokes.com. I have been told if I put money on the ladbrokes account with my credit card it will been seen as a cash payment and will be charged interest straight away, is this true?

P.S sorry if this question has been asked before only a newbie.

Yes - some banks treat payments to gambling sites as cash advances.

Somewhere in the T&Cs it will say things like buying foreign currency/travellers cheques etc is classified as a cash advance. Online gambling is usually lumped in with those.

You do understand the definition of the word some? Check with your card issuer. They may or may not have this condition attached to their T&C's
