Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Im heading to Dubai for a few days next week and I was wondering if I might get a good Sony phone there for less than it might cost here.

Im after something along the lines of the Nokia 6233.. Good video, bluetooth, MP3 compatible, decent calender etc.

What would you all recommend? I was thinking of the W960i.

ill tell you right now mate, i was in dubai and as soon as you come out of the arrivals area in the airport your bombarded by phone sales, but heres the thing, there the exact same price as expansys, the only thing you get is extra arabic letters on your keyboard, im serious, i thought there was going to be a price difference but there wasnt,

also i reccomend going to the centre of dubai and into one of the shopping centres (forget the name) but its solidly filled with computer shops, you can pick up cheap non branded mp4 players and the like, for branded stuff though dubai is the same price

Thats a pity, I thought electronics would be a lot cheaper there.

I actually have a 6233 at the moment. Gradually I've gone off Nokia.. their firmware is awful.

yeah i thought the same :( some stuff (mp3 players etc...) are 20/30 euros cheaper and you can haggle a good deal on some stuff. but anything non branded is really cheap, they bring it in on boats from asia (particularly around the creek)

    memory cards
    mp3 players
    mp4 players
    small lcd televisions (under 12")
    car stereos
    earphones
    odd computer accessories

So lets say I just wanted to change to a Sony mobile regardless.. based on something similar to what the 6233 is "supposed" to do..

What would you all recommend? I've no upgrade left so I'd have to just buy it myself from somewhere.
