This is my 1st one so im probably going to do it all wrong but here goes.. Im guessing I show you all pictures and explain whats going on in them?

Heres all the main parts to the computer

    Asus P5N32E-SLI
    buildlog002.jpg

    Core2Duo E6600 @ 3.15Ghz
    buildlog012.jpg

    2GB OCZ PC8500 Ram
    buildlog003.jpg

    Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer
    buildlog004.jpg

    XFX 8800GTX
    buildlog005.jpg

Inside the Antec Nine Hundred Case
    buildlog019.jpg

This is the new case it came with holes drilled on the back for watercooling and also installing hard drives was easier!

All on the motherboard with the Zalman9500 Fan I had problems with OCUK couldn't order the thermalright!
    buildlog014.jpg

1st things 1st install the mobo as you do then the power supply or atleast its the way I did it :)
    buildlog022.jpg

Now this next bit might annoy people got to do with the thermal paste how I put it on way too much some people will think.. I was following the guidelines on the Artic Silver site.. Ive had no problems anyway temps idle 30 - 34!
    buildlog025.jpg

Next comes the sweet zalman fan :P
    buildlog026.jpg

Once I had that install simple case of installing the 8800 and Creative X-fi.. then spend 2 hours tidying.. Its not great imo last time around on the other antec was better! Maybe its cause I left in the extra fan thing..
    buildlog027.jpg

Heres some on the outside lights on it and stuf..

    buildlog.jpg
The case is against a wall now so no more fall off the desk and breaking :)

That any good or was I totally wrong and thats not a build log  haha

Do all those bright LEDs and fans next to your face not drive you nuts? My theory on cases is they should neither be seen nor heard, unless you occasionally take it out to admire it or show off.

I have an image of you with windswept hair to the left and a tan on one half of your face.

Honestly no.. I can hear it now its a bit loud but like I could go to bed with it all on no problem...

Is it me or should there by more of these? I think its a thing around here that people feel they shouldn't be showing loads of pictures of their rig for fear of getting the dreaded *cough* e-penis alert *cough*

hear hear for Irish build logs, i'm sick of having to go to american and english sites to see pictures of what its like to build with certain cases and components.

Also OP, where have you hidden the SUB for those badboys, I had some time trying to find somewhere for it that didn't make it stand out like a sore thumb. Nice build all the same, although if you had to get a zalman cooler why not get the 9700?

IF all goes well we will have a new forum specificly for build logs.

Cause I had bought the 9500 not knowing about the 9700 lol!

The Sub is underneath the desk ill post a picture up of that later.. Its below the case so im on the other side of the desk so I dont notice it :) Its about 4 times bigger than my last sub

The picture I have up there is not how it is now.. Everything is on the otherside of the room so the case is on the wall side now :)

I actually really feel like upgrading this computer again.. its a waste though tbh cause its perfect now, ive just nothing else to spend my money on lol :(

    Proposed upgrade:

8800GTX SLI(IF I could get one on the cheap)
    Watercooling CPU and GTX's
QuadCore(A bit overboard I know but I wont have another job like I do now after september so its worth getting now I think?)
New Monitor cause a 22" would be a waste for SLI GTX's
Also might get a new case for the watercooling!

Most likely wont happen but its nice to think off :)

The go on that yoke lol. That will not fit in my case! The ultra 120 extreme wont fit without taking out the side thing for the fan lol

Put some savings into a rabodirect account, wait a year for quadcore to drop, directx10 to become mainstream and THEN go buy some more stuff. If you like the building, find some people who want systems built. I have found myself very often with the buyers remorse; I love choosing components, looking at the nice new boxes when they arrive and then assembling the whole thing. I find the biggest letdown when you actually turn on the computer and realise there isnt that big a difference between what you have and what you had. And unless your eyes/brain and monitor (i see its LCD) have an extremely high frequecny threshold, you wont notice that much of a difference in frame rate in modern games with FRAPS turned off.

What some poeple go through for higher 3dmark scores, really!

Give it to me, I'll spend it for you. I've got lots of things I need, car needs replacing, lost my archos, need a quad-core for video editing...
